Jen

Today at work, I was technical support. We lost some files, so I had to go into the backup system and retrieve them. This is an easy job. The best part is, is that I am pretty much the only one here that knows anything about computers. Bill (the boss) will have some sort of problem, like he can’t get something to print. I’ll go in there, click on the “print” button and guess what! It prints! Bill is then utterly amazed by this. Bill is also very computer illiterate. Anyway, I get the job of computer woman here. Hint three about my job: It has absolutely nothing to do with fixing computers.

I was thinking. Maybe we should have a contest or something. You know, the readers (yes, the five of you), who are NOT our friends, could try to guess our jobs. Ok plus Three would then send out some “goods” to the readers. I have no idea what these “goods” would be, but I like to put “goods” in quotation marks.

Last night I stayed up too late. I was going to go home early after I dropped of Pat at school to work on “the video” (aka- the one with me in it) and then I ran into my friend, Jordan. So, like the idiot I am, I went back with him to his place and got it on! Kidding. No, I watched his video that he filmed using pixel vision, which is this old 1980’s fisher price toy (I’ll see if I can find some cool links to this). It records everything to a cassette tape, which is pretty damn amazing, considering it produces black/white footage and decent sound. Jordan did this monologue in Graceland Cemetery. It’s really a great piece-even with the very funny repetition of some things… “Tired. Tired. Tired.”-you know what I mean if you saw it. Kevin, Jordan’s roommate, sat in on the editing session, and it was a great time. I lost complete track of time, and before we knew it, it was 3 am. Late. Anyway, by time I got home, it was close to four, which is way too late for someone with a day job.

AH! Good news. Pat will go with me to the Hey Mercedes show if tickets are $7(as I promised). Oooopps. I just checked the Metro page. They are $8. I wonder if this dollar will matter?

Ok- lunch and the new Spin. I’ll give you a review on the article about 25 years of punk..
