does anyone remeber the video for regulators from my more impressionable years. i still love the part where he goes, "chords, strings, we brings melodies." now if he's not a wordsmith (a word that has been popping up in my usage because of a damned white castle commercial) i don't know who is. so i promised a funny urbana story, so here's a funny urbana story.

my band played a show a couple of moths ago at the canopy and there was this girl there in a red shirt who was making eyes at me. me, being the stud i am, instantly took her home and bedded her. no it's not that kind of story. she came up on stage during our last song when we brought everyone on stage and she was grinding on me while i stood there uncomfortably. keep in mind this wasn't the g funk we were playing. she was grinding on me to a fairly up tempo punk song. well fortunately we lost her later that night, cause i don't think shorty would've approved of me spending any more time with her.

so this past weekend i was down in urbana to play another show and the girl attends. she's standing right in fornt of me in the audience and making eyes at me and such, and i was doing my best to ignore her and get plastered at the same time. when we got to the final song, we brought people up on stage again and she came up too. she once again started grinding on me while i turned to my freind and mouthed "help." we finished the set and i was packing up and . . . well i'll just write the rest of it like a play:

Slutty: You're the best saxophone player I've ever seen. Since you play the saxophone you must know how to blow . . .

Slutty blows in Greg's face in a seductive manner.

Slutty: . . . it also means you know how to use your tounge . . .

Slutty slowly licks lips clockwise in a seductive manner. She has a look on her face like she would like to make out with Greg

Greg Clearly flustered: Uh . . . I have to go put my horn away I'll be right back.

Greg never returns

There's my story. I will have to say it is the first time anyone has ever tried to pick me up in such a blatant way. i think that might have something to do with my dork status. oh well. i should work.
