Yo.
I just put three new (the bands aren’t new- just the links!) bands in the listen area. I put Death Cab for Cutie because we all know about my obsession with them (We Laugh Indoors). Becky- I forgot to show you the CD insert for Death Cab’s “we have the facts and we’re voting yes.” I’d like to think the drawings are of people doing yoga!
I put Weezer in for the obvious reasons. Kill Creek is probably the one that is least expected of me. Yes, I do like their music, but their website may be even better. Please check out the section entitled “Dawn of Suck.” I swear, it is funny.
Greg. I need you to make me a section for e-zines. I got a few that I think we should link to.
Last night, I went to Record Emporium (on Roscoe and Paulina) and found a gem in the used section. I found the Regrets, New Directions: Results Beat Boasts LP (hmmm..... maybe I'll put them in the listen section too.) I have this on tape, but it is soooooo much better to have it on CD. AND even better when you only pay $6.00 for it. Do people realize what they are selling back? Anyway, if you don’t know, or haven’t given The Regrets a chance, check this out. They rock. I can totally “60’s Soul Man”(footnote) to “Inflated Passions.” I am actually a bigger fan of the stuff they did when they were Vitreous Humor. Still, both rock.
Ok, I am out for the day.
Footnote: 60’s Soul Man is a dance move that I created to go along with “Inflated Passions.” This move now comes out for songs with a similar beat to that song. The only person who ever requests that I do this move is Jeremy Judy. Thank you for keeping it alive. What are best friends for?
