more on mousercizing!

when i was little (cause i'm so big now) i had this little tan fisher price record player. i'm sure everyone had the damn thing, but i loved mine. i had a ton of kid records, but my two favorite were Mousercize! and the chipmunks chirstmas album.

Mousercize! was awesome. it was a takeoff of the whole jazzercize trend in the early 80's and it allowed kids to exercise to songs sung by Mickey and the Gang with tons of witty banter between Mickey, Donald, Minnie and so forth. I used to love to listen to that record. There may have been a sequal but i'm not sure. and it might have come from a tv show. i'm pretty sure i wore the wax off that one.

my other favorite record was the christmas record by the chipmunks. it was so awesome. whenever i think of christmas i can't help but think about this record, and the chipmunks version of "all i want for christmas are my two front teeth" and other christmas standards. i gotta find that record. it has to be in the attic somewhere.

speaking of children's things that i found recently, do you guys remember teddy ruxpin? i never watched the show all that much, but i loved the talking doll. It was a doll of teddy that had a tape deck in back. you would put in tapes and teddy's mouth would move and you would follow along to the book. it was awesome. i just found one of the tapes and i was playing it on my stereo. it's got some hilarious songs on it. mostly about being freinds. it's in mono though which is sad.

i better work before i get fired.
