a hippie bum asked me this on my way to work today. my response? "i'm sleepy."

yesterday at class my professor went off on scientologists. you know dianetics, by L. Ron Hubbard. anyways i guess his brother was a scientolosist, and it seriously messed him up. scientology is something of a cult (sorry to any of you who are scientologists) which involves money and secrets, i'm not a particularly large fan. but i guess my professor, a pretty big dude, was walking past the scientology storefront at lincoln and armitage and saw a sign that said "struggling to deal with this tragedy? we can help." so he walked in and said in a very loud voice "i think it's ridiculous that you guys are trying to use this attack to lure people into your organization." some guy tried to drag him out, but the guy was pretty small, so he said a few more things and left. the next day the sign was gone.

i also read in the paper that NBCNews was running a grief counseling number at the bottom of their screen on 9/11/01, until they found out it was actually a scientologist hotline and they promptly pulled it. those scientologists are a shady bunch.

plus they made battlefield earth. that alone should damn them.
