To Christie:

Some can say that we are lucky to have been protected from terrorism and suffering of that nature our entire lives. It has molded the society we live in. I can also say that it is easy to feel disconnected. When could I ever say that a relative of mine has been taken away and killed by the goverment? I am happy to say, never. So, it's a double edged sword: we all somehow live more comfortable, easier lives, but we also don't get that experience from life that most of us need in order to feel alive.

Someone once told me, keep a note on your mirror: "Do something scary today." That is my only motivation. I hope it helps.
