Good News: NO Root canal or removal of a wisdom tooth!!! I had a "huge" cavity, and Dr. Lin did his best to take care of it. It still hurts a bit, but the Doc said it would be sensitive for a couple of days.

Other News: It looks like XRT hasn't picked the finalists for the XRT commercial, but you can see our video on You Tube. Or right here on the Blog! Hopefully, we will be chosen as a finalist and at that point, the viewer vote counts. I will keep you posted. (You will get an e-mail from me if I have your e-mail address. Beware. . .)

However, feel free to watch, rate and post a loving comment!

Not too much else going on here. Matt is in Indiana for the weekend, having a three day band practice and Wii fest with the guys.

I've decided to have a girl's weekend sort of thing. I know about five girls total, so be prepared to be sick of me, ladies!

It's very exciting to see Greg's name up there under the list of contributors for this blog. Does it mean we will see a post in the near future?

I went to the dentist for this tooth ache I've been having for about two weeks now, and I may either need a root canal or one of my wisdom teeth removed. Awesome!!!! Even better considering I don't have insurance. Next week, Dr. Lin will be removing my old filling and giving me either of the bad news I mentioned above. I wish there was some good news instead of two different bad scenarios. You know, like: "The bad news is you may need a root canal, but the good news is your old filling is made out of gold and diamonds and is worth a fortune!"

Two interesting tidbits from my weekend:

1) I was at a party this weekend, and I was uncomfortably trapped in the bathroom while a domestic dispute happened right out side of the bathroom door. A lot of words like condescending, belittling and many, many swears were used. And it was between two men. I was washing my hands when it started, and decided it was much better to wait it out in the bathroom until it was over.

2) A friend of my sister's found out after 11 years of being together, including 7 years of marriage and two kids, that her husband is gay. You would think that the weekly $400 clothing shopping sprees or the fact that a majority of his male friends are gay might have clued her in a bit. It's crazy how one can overlook the little things when in love. I really do feel bad for her and her two sweet boys. 11 years is a long time to live a lie.

Matt and I are filming a commercial for WXRT Apparently, the winner is chosen by viewer votes, so I will keep you updated on when our video is posted and how you can vote and help us out!

Yes, it's true, I work at the Gap.

I try not to admit it too much anymore. I'm 28, I have a Masters in Photography, a fairly serious job at an art gallery and I'm in a healthy relationship. And I work at the stinkin' Gap. Since moving back from California, through working at the gallery, assisting, David, the photographer I work with, and the Gap, I've managed to pay off some bills, get my life into semi-order and work myself into exhaustion. Work with David usually settles down this time of year, which is great, because I need some extra time to myself. I'm working all week for the gallery - if it isn't here at the gallery itself, I'm working from home designing the website, ads or announcement cards. I'm getting to the point where I don't really need the Gap anymore. I work only about 5 to 11 hours a week, usually on Monday (the gallery is closed) and one night during the week, and I just don't know how much longer I can take working there. However, when I see that extra amount of money pop up in my bank account, I can't imagine not having the job. It's a double edged sword.

The other day, a woman walked into the store, got really close to me, and said "Hi" in a way that made me feel dirty. Then she told me that she "Just washed some one's pants," and now she "wants them for herself." Those are the kinds of crazies I deal with every time I work there. If it isn't some woman returning a dress from 1998, or some guy with two tails braided from the back of his head following me around the store and asking me for a date, then it's just not a day at the Gap.

Until I'm rich, I'll have to deal with working there - even if it means I am one step closer to losing my sanity. At least the discount is good!

Yesterday the weather was incredible! I am so sad that it has started to get colder outside. BOO!

This weekend, if you are in the River North Area, my gallery, among others will be having an opening for our new show. Check out the listings to see what else is going on. Stop by for free wine and snacks!

I am working on this catalog I am designing for the gallery and I HAVE to finish it tonight. However, I am taking breaks all too often to check e-mail (even though I have no new messages,) write and post on my blogs (even though I don't have much to say,) and looking at longboards (even though I am not great at skateboarding). I have been semi-obsessed with getting better at skateboarding for about 3 weeks now, probably because I don't actually have a skateboard and it's really too miserable outside to want to be on a skateboard. Basically, what I'm saying is, it is easy to think about getting better at skateboarding than actually doing it. Matt and I looked at some skateboards this weekend, an although Matt is certainly no Tony Hawk, he moved about so effortlessly. I look kind of awkward, like I am always thinking about how I am going to fall and break something. But then! The longboard! It's like a whole new kind of skateboard to me. Maybe due to it's size I'm not as fearful about falling. Anyway, I've been checking out boards, and here are two that I like.

I went to Peoria this weekend to visit my friend, Jen, who I have known for about 20 years. We met on the slide, or the swing set; we can never get it straight. Anyway you slice it, I have been Jenny C to her family and she has been Jenny R to mine. She had to relocate to Peoria about two years ago when her husband got a job down there. She reluctantly packed up the Chicago condo and headed south. She works for News 25, which is on NBC, if you live in Peoria. She produces a couple of segments and also does reporting. The last time I saw Jen was when she came to visit Matt and I in California, and now I feel terrible that I waited this long to go and visit her, especially when it feels just like old times when we hang out. My goal for the year is to stop being a bad friend. I'm hoping to go back down to Peoria when the weather gets nicer and hopefully do something outside (as opposed to all the movie watching and game playing we did) with Jen and Jason.

Okay, thanks for the distraction. Back to work.
